Travel: KL - The Big City (17th Dec 2015)

Hi all,

I woke up very late after watching the premier of Star Wars VII. Around 11.00am, I went to fetch Barr at his apartment and went for brunch (Hasif and Aizat working on cos-play project). We had a great meal at Brotherhood and Co. at Sekyen 7 Shah Alam based on the recommendation by Vitdaily. Nasi Sotong King!!!!

After sending Barr back to his apartment, I drove towards KL in hopes of visiting the Pusat Sains Negara. Unfortunately they were closed for renovations. So I changed course towards the Planetarium Negara instead.

There are not much to see at the planetarium but the basics of study of astronomy and their applications. I did not take many picture unfortunately of the place as I was too immersed in reading everything. Huh, me and science!

The Dome Theatre: Watched a documentary on Solar Flares

After the view from the Planetarium's Observatory, I decided to go to KL Tower. I have been to KLCC many times before but never KL Tower so why not?

By the time I reached KL tower, It was already around 4.00pm. I went straight to the reception and bought a ticket for the Closed Viewing Area + 6D Theatre as it was one of the cheapest package. I was low on budget. I have experienced 6D before so it was not as surprising but the theatre is better than most in Taiping. Time to go up the tower!

There were a lot of Lego arts at the closed viewing area of the KL Tower. Ranging from Harry Potter to Star Wars, it was lots of fun!

At the ground floor of the KL Tower, there was also an mini zoo. The animals that they have at the mini zoo are impressive including meerkats, otter, rabbits, snakes and others. They allow visitors to pet the animals which was a lot of fun.

I finished walking around KL Tower around 6.00 pm and time to push through the traffic back to Kondominium Kristal in Shah Alam.

I was looking forward for tonight because I will be meeting my old UiTM classmates who are staying in Shah Alam. Some are working and some are doing their Masters Degree. I was happy that we were able to meet up and talk about our life now and reminisce about our days as undergrads. Thank you Nysa, Wani, Fameza and T Rex (Athirah) for spending time with me. I miss you guys and all the others that were not able to be there.

That is all the stories I have from Day 2 in KL. I sleepover at Kondominium Kristal for the night. There is no Day 3 entry as I practically just hang out at Shah Alam relaxing at Danial's home. Danial and I did went out to Danial's home in Setiawangsa because he left his CF2015 tickets there (-.-). Other than that, we technically did nothing. It was all chillin...

Travel: KL - The Force Awakens (16th Dec 2015)

Hi all,

Last month, I took annual leave from work from 16th-20th specifically to be a part of one of the best events to take place in 2015: The PREMIER of the long awaited Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens at TGV Sunway Pyramid.

In addition to that, one of the largest events for cos-players, nerds and geeks is happening on the same weekend. COMIC FIESTA 2015!

I pushed off from Taiping at around 10.00 am to reach Shah Alam around 1.00pm to have lunch with my pal, Danial Barr. We had a good lunch at non other than Shah Alam's best mamak, Hakim.

Then we just spend the day at Kondominium Kristal where I used to rent during my studies, talking and preparing for the premier.

Nerds Assembled !! Danial Barr, MdHasif, Aizat Adli and I are back together to celebrate this historical event! We pushed off for Sunway Pyramid at 10.00pm. I was in full costume for the premier. This was my first attempt at cos-playing and what better event to start than at the Star Wars VII premier.

We reached TGV Sunway Pyramid around 11.00pm and the place was jammed pack with Star Wars characters! I was nervous of course as they have really good costumes assuming they are all veterans at cos-playing.

We decided to get our popcorns and drinks immediately before people started crowding. A good decision, it was. There was a lot going on with figurines display, dance off and other activities. It was crazy! We can't even move around.

With all the anxiety of 3 long years of wait, we finally entered the cinema at 12.00 am (17th Dec).

The movie was AMAZING! I am not going to spoil anything unlike my friend (YES you Hasif!) although its way past the no spoiler zone. We went and have our dinner right after the movie at Seksyen 9 reviewing the good and bad of the movie.

We sent Danial Barr back to Kristal Kondominium. Hasif and I decided to stay at Aizat's new crib at Seksyen 8. He had a really nice place. Under renovations for his homestay plan. But it was comfy enough for the night. I was so happy I was not bothered by anything and went straight to sleep.

My First Entry: Introductions

Hello readers,

Let me introduce myself. I am Wan Ashraff (Wan/Acap/Ash/Doraemon/Bear...so many I lost count!). Born on the 19th Nov 1991. I was born in Sungai Petani, Kedah and was raised in Taiping, Perak.

My parents are Mohamad Noor and Sharifah Zalina. I am the eldest of four with 2 sisters (Puteri Aifaa Alyanna and Puteri Adriana) and brother (Wan Aizat).

I completed my Bachelors in Engineering (Hons.) in Chemical in 2014 from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam. I am currently a Development Engineer in Teleflex Medical Sdn. Bhd. located in Taiping, Perak. I work to develop new medical devices for the urology market. I have been here for 1 year ++.

My hobbies includes watching anime, movies and series, listening and playing music, gaming, bowling and playing futsal. I am hoping to add travelling into the list. This is depending on my $$$ in this hellish economy in Malaysia. Thank N***B!
